Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 7 September 2026
CourierTax is a trading name of Mark Horley, a sole trader based at 51 Hazel Street, Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 3FD ("we", "us", "our"). These terms apply whenever you buy the Courier Driver VAT Registration Guide (the "Guide") or use couriertax.co.uk (the "Site").
1. What you're buying
A one-time purchase of £27.99 gets you:
- A personalised, watermarked copy of the Courier Driver VAT Registration Guide, viewable online through your account;
- Three bonus guides (the Expense Claims Checklist, the Spouse Pay Playbook, and Reclaiming VAT You Paid Before You Registered), included free with every purchase.
All four are delivered as read-only pages in your browser, not as downloadable files. Access requires an internet connection and works on one device/browser session at a time — logging in elsewhere signs out any other active session.
2. Nature of the content
The Guide is general educational guidance based on HMRC's published rules, written for self-employed courier and delivery drivers. It is not personal tax, legal, or financial advice, and does not create an accountant-client relationship. Your individual circumstances may differ from the examples given. We recommend checking your specific figures with HMRC or a qualified accountant before acting on anything in the Guide.
We take reasonable care to keep the content accurate and up to date, but tax rules change, and we don't guarantee any particular financial outcome from following it.
3. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are shown in GBP and include everything you're charged — there are no hidden fees.
4. Your right to cancel — and when it doesn't apply
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content like the Guide, that right ends as soon as you access it, provided you've given express consent to immediate access and acknowledged that you lose the cancellation right — which is exactly what you confirm on Stripe's secure payment page before you pay.
See our Refund Policy for what this means in practice and how to contact us if something's gone wrong.
5. Acceptable use
Your copy of the Guide is for your personal use only. Please don't share your login, screenshot and redistribute the content, or otherwise make it available to anyone else. We reserve the right to suspend access if an account is used in breach of this.
6. Liability
We're not liable for losses arising from decisions made based on the Guide, including any VAT, tax, or HMRC outcome, except where caused by our negligence or where the law doesn't allow us to limit liability (for example, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't be excluded under UK law. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Guide.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time — the "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the update.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
9. Affiliate program
If you're approved as a CourierTax affiliate, these additional terms apply to that relationship:
- Approval is at our discretion — we may decline an application, or later deactivate an affiliate code, including for breach of these terms;
- Commission is a fixed amount per completed, non-refunded sale made using your code, shown on your affiliate dashboard — we may adjust the rate or the program's terms at any time;
- Payouts are made manually via PayPal on the 27th of each month, for sales made the previous calendar month, to the PayPal email you provide — see the Affiliate FAQ for full details;
- You must clearly disclose any paid or affiliate promotion in line with UK advertising rules (the ASA's CAP Code) whenever you share your code;
- Being an affiliate doesn't make you our employee, agent, or partner — you're responsible for your own tax affairs on any commission earned.
